The two politicians were on their way to attend Azimio la Umoja Kenya Kwanza rally when their convoy came under attack.

The former Rarieda MP stated that a group of rowdy youths who were acting at the behest of one of his competitors in the Gubernatorial race pelted his entourage with stones. He added that the attack was a well-orchestrated plan to block him from attending the ODM leader Raila Odinga’s led rallies

“After we unearthed their scheme to cause chaos at the rallies, they resorted to violence while blocking other Azimio one Kenya Coalition Party candidates and me from accessing the events. The matter has been forwarded to the police for the goons responsible to be held accountable. I, therefore, urge my supporters to remain calm. Our journey is still on course. A new dawn for Siaya is nigh,” Said Gumbo

Gumbo urged his supporters to remain calm as the police worked round the clock to apprehend the perpetrators.
