Police on Tuesday evening arrested activist Edwin Kiama over viral graphics he allegedly madeon social media warning the world against lending Kenya
According to tweet by fellow activist Boniface Mwangi on Wednesday morning, Kiama was taken into custody at the Central Police Station, Nairobi County.
Mwangi revealed that his colleague was being held on accusations of contravening the Cybercrimes Act.
The posters have been amplifying the online campaign asking the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to cancel an Sh255 billion loan it had approved for Kenya.
