Kipande Road Partial Closure

Kipande Road will undergo partial closures from Friday, December 27, 2024, to Tuesday, December 31, 2024, with traffic limited to one lane at a time. During this period, traffic will be diverted to Ngara Road to allow for the installation of a cross culvert, which will improve seamless road connections in line with KeNHA’s infrastructure goals.

Motorists are advised to use the alternative routes via Embu-Nairobi Highway, Prof. Wangari Maathai Road, Limuru Road, and Kolobot Road. KeNHA urges all road users to exercise caution within the work zones and to adhere to the traffic management plan in place.

Southern Bypass Section Closure

Additionally, KeNHA has announced the closure of a section of the Southern Bypass, from Ole Sereni Interchange to Ngong Road Interchange, starting Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 8 PM. This closure will remain in effect until Sunday, January 5, 2025, at midnight to facilitate critical rehabilitation works. These include the replacement of expansion joints on all bridges along the stretch and the reconstruction of the concrete pavement at the Virtual Weighbridge.

KeNHA appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during these necessary works and sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused. These upgrades form part of KeNHA’s ongoing efforts to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable road transportation across the country.
