The United Kingdom has cautioned Rwanda that its alleged support for the M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) could put at risk the over $1 billion (Sh160 billion) in aid it receives from London annually.
“The DRC conflict is deepening divisions across Africa, with South Africa and Rwanda now on opposing sides. President Paul Kagame appears ready for a confrontation as battle lines are drawn.”
“Both sides are fueling instability—Rwanda is backing M23, while South Africa is supporting the FDLR.”
