Nelson Okoth Ditonge, alias Adombo, the man accused of murdering his 22-year-old fellow clansman, Joshua Odhiambo Abuto, at Kabonyo Irrigation Scheme Daraja Market on Sunday, 5th October 2025, has been arrested today, 9th October 2025.
The arrest followed intelligence gathered by Area Chief Amos Odeny of Kawino North Location, who led an overnight manhunt that located the suspect hiding in one of the abandoned houses in the neighborhood this morning.
Adombo has been handed over to DCI officers in Nyando and is now awaiting arraignment in court. Reports indicate that the deadly feud arose from disputes over money linked to their illicit dealings.
Both the suspect and the deceased have previously been associated with criminal cases in the area, with Adombo currently facing an assault case at Nyando Law Court. The victim’s body has been preserved at Nyando Subcounty Hospital morgue.
