Police are investigating an incident in which a prison warder attached to the Industrial area Prison in Nairobi on Tuesday Committed suicide by shooting himself.

Felix Kiprono is alleged to have shot himself while manning the facility’s watchtower.
Staff at the remand prison said they heard and reported gunshots, initially suspecting that the facility was under attack. They later found out that the warden had committed suicide.
The warder had exhibited signs that he was ‘unhappy’ with the deployment to the watch though he did not raise an official complaint.
