Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has cautioned Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni against using the party platform to attack former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, insisting that Jubilee will not be drawn into personal or abusive politics.
Speaking during a closed-door strategy session with grassroots party leaders, Uhuru said he had observed instances where some officials—including Kioni—had resorted to online confrontations and personal insults under the guise of defending the party.
“We are a national party with a clear ideology and a mandate from our members. We will not waste our energy insulting people. If anyone wants to engage in personal attacks, do it outside Jubilee. I don’t want this party associated with insults,” Uhuru stated.
The former Head of State further emphasized that Jubilee must maintain discipline and maturity, focusing on rebuilding party structures rather than creating unnecessary political hostility.
“Let us focus on the agenda that unites us—not fights we were never elected to engage in,” Uhuru added. He reaffirmed that Jubilee will handle political disagreements through dialogue and institutional processes, not social media wars.
The directive signals a push by Uhuru to restore order in the party after months of internal disputes and external pressure.
