The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, December 26, during a live performance by renowned Ohangla artist Odongo Swagg. Reports from Citizen Digital state that the deceased, identified as Anthony Ouma, allegedly attacked the artist on stage and attempted to strike him with a bottle.

Bondo Sub-County Police Commander Robert Aboki confirmed that a confrontation between Ouma and the artist took place. The situation escalated quickly, prompting intervention from other partygoers, which led to a physical altercation. Tragically, Ouma succumbed to injuries sustained during the altercation. Police arrived at the scene, processed the body, and transported it to the Bondo Sub-County Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Investigations are ongoing, and the motive behind Ouma’s alleged attack on the musician remains unclear. Commander Aboki has urged the public to exercise caution and responsibility during the festive season and announced increased security measures in Bondo following recent acts of violence by unidentified individuals.
