Q:  How did you find your passion?
I did a lot of things before deciding to do public relations and journalism. I did a lot of soul searching before finally delving into the world of media. Did a lot failed a lot too but always got back up and got in the ring.

Q: What inspires you?
My daughter Leilani Bett does. She always reminds me that I’m not fighting for myself but for both of us.

Q: What is your parenting style?
I always try my best to identify my child’s needs and wants and really listen to what she is saying and communicating. I am a really sensitive attentive parent. I love being a mum, it was made for me.

Q: How has mother good changed you?
It made me a little bit softer and more compassionate. I was compassionate before but my compassion and empathy doubled.

Q: How do you balance work and family?
I always put my family first no matter what my business and career comes second.

Q: Why did you chose to pursue public relations and journalism?
Cause I figured it was what I wanted to do since I was young and also it was what I could easily with the least amount of effort. I find it to be extremely fun.

Q: What are some of the challenges you’ve faced when starting and growing a business?
When starting I can say the process of saving up money to start and run a business isn’t the most fun, I chose to use this route cause I didn’t want any debt. Growing a business isn’t easy because there are a lot of factors involved in growing a business and some of those factors are out of your control.

Q: What values has being an entrepreneur instilled in you as a person?

Patience – as an entrepreneur you need a lot of patience

Courage – as an entrepreneur you’ll need a lot of courage because you’ll have to make a lot of decisions especially scary decisions

Passion – you need to love what you do and be passionate about it so you can ensure during the hard times

Perseverance – you need to have a thick skin in this journey called life

Q: What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done as an entrepreneur?
Believe it on not it is paying salaries. In the beginning I always got scared and nervous especially when we almost got to the end of the month however, God always came through and provided and everyone is always paid.

Q: What is Leilani’s hobby?
She is into ballet right now and is really enjoying her classes. She is also really into Barbie dolls.

Q: What is the biggest lesson being a mum has taught you?
Always listen and be attentive to your child’s needs what they are saying and what they are not saying

Q: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
With a number one talk show and magazine and also the largest public relations firm in the world.

Q: What is your hidden talent?
I can sing really well believe it or not

Q: What do you do during your free time?
Go to my mum’s house or to my aunt’s house and hang out with my family

Q: What is your biggest fear in life?
Missing out on my purpose

Q: Who do you look up to in life?
My mum Rossy Keitany. She is my hero 100 percent. I am able to do what I do because of the sacrifices she has made for me.

Q: What mantra do you live by?
Find your passion and do what you love it is the best way to live

Q: Could you tell us a bit more about your or firm?
I started Lindah Kiyeng Communications in 2017 after graduating using my pocket money it took me a while to be profitable but eventually it was and I hired and started paying my first employees in 2020. I am extremely grateful that we are going on our three year mark

Q: What is your favourite quote?
It has to be when God put you on this earth he gave you everything you would need to succeed. Everything you need to succeed in this life is already in you and not outside of you.

Q: What is your f favorite meal?
Beef Casserole and a salad
