Mombasa Pastor Brutally Stabs Wife To Death At Pulpit, Commits Suicide During Church Service

There was a drama at a church in Mombasa after a preacher stabbed his wife to death before committing suicide during church service on Sunday December 5th 2020.

According to the church members, Pastor Elisha Misiko of Ground for God’s Gospel 3G Ministries in Bamburi drew knife and stabbed his wife, Ann Mughoi in the back and on the hand leaving her with severe injuries while they were seated together at the pulpit.

The pastor then turned the same knife on himself and committed suicide by slitting his throat.

According to police, after the incident, the pastor was found with a 17-page suicide note detailing marital disputes with his wife with prior information indicating the couple was embroiled in a property tussle.

It is believed the pastor was disturbed by his wife’s underhand plans to disinherit him of the church and other properties he had fought hard to get.

Misiko had reported his marriage woes several times at the Kiembeni Police Station in Kisauni but the matter had not been resolved.

Kisauni Police Commander Julius Kiragu confirmed the incident saying investigations into the incident are underway.

The wife was rushed to Coast Hospital where she was later pronounced dead wife was rushed to Coast Hospital by church members where she was later pronounced dead.

The bodies of the deceased were moved to the Coast General Hospital mortuary.

The couple have left behind four children, three boys and a girl.
