Kirinyaga OCS Dies In Road Crash At Kamakis – Ruiru

Harrison Muteti Katecho, the officer commanding (OCS) Wanguru police station in Kirinyaga county lost control and rammed into a stationary lorry at Kamakis area on the Eastern Bypass in Ruiru.

According to Police, the accident occurred on Wednesday, August 26, at around 3.30pm when the OCS was driving his Toyota Belta before it crashed behind the lory that had been parked on the left side of the road. Both vehicles were moving from Ruai direction towards Thika Road.

The officer sustained head and chest injuries and was rushed to Ruiru Sub-county Hospital for medical attention where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body was moved to the Kenyatta University mortuary while the wreckage was towed to Ruiru Police Station.
