A policeman died after he was hit by a vehicle along Southern bypass
According to a police report the officer Nickson Kiprono was crossing the road at around 2am along Southern bypass near the General Service Unit (GSU) training school when he was hit by the motorist identified as Jackline Nduku Nzioko who was reportedly driving from Embakasi barracks towards Utawala.
The 35 year old Cop who was stationed at Shauri Moyo Police Station, was rushed to Nairobi West Hospital but succumbed to injuries sustained during an accident on early thursday morning.
Police officers have since visited the scene of the accident and investigations are underway.
